The full dates of our tour with Alison Balsom are now on our website – and it’s going to be a biggie….

We’ll be in the USA from 6 – 20 April 2013 and will be giving 11 concerts, taking 8 flights, making 7 coach journeys, visiting 7 states performing 2 programmes of music from Alison’s recordings for EMI with the Ensemble: Italian Concertos and Seraph
Seraph – James MacMillan
The performances of James MacMillan‘s trumpet concerto Seraph are going to be a real highlight of this tour. Seraph was commissioned by the Scottish Ensemble and Perth Concert Hall and we’re really excited to be taking this work to the States. The album topped the classical music charts when it was released earlier this year, and we gave the first performances outside the EU earlier this year at the Is Sanat Concert Hall in Istanbul.

Scottish Ensemble Big Give Christmas Challenge
We’ll be raising funds to help send us on our way for our biggest tour yet through the Big Give Christmas Challenge on 6 – 8 December. We’ll be keeping you up to date on how you can join in over the coming months, or you can take a look at the Big Give website to see what it’s all about.
